Describe the relationship
The pattern, not the highlight reel. What repeats, what you have already tried, and what you are afraid the answer is.

The question underneath 'should I break up'
Almost nobody asking this question lacks information. They have the information and they are looking for permission — either to leave, or to stay a while longer without feeling foolish.
So the more useful question is: what would have to change for this to be worth staying in, and has that ever been asked for clearly? A surprising number of relationships have never had the actual conversation. A surprising number have had it many times and nothing moved. Those are different situations with different answers.
What the research says predicts the end
Gottman's work found that four behaviours predict separation with unsettling accuracy: criticism aimed at character rather than behaviour, defensiveness that refuses all responsibility, stonewalling that withdraws entirely, and contempt — the most corrosive of the four. Contempt is the one that rarely reverses on its own.
The counterweight is repair: whether, after a rupture, either of you reaches back. Couples who repair badly but reliably tend to survive. Couples who have stopped reaching at all usually do not, regardless of how little they fight.
If the answer turns out to be yes
Deciding is the first half; the second half is the conversation and the weeks after it. Lovelara can help you say it in a way that is clear and not cruel, and the recovery tools are there for the part that comes after — the no-contact stretch, the 3am spiral, the day you nearly text.
If the answer turns out to be no, you leave with the specific thing to fix rather than a vague resolve to try harder.
