Describe what's happening — or paste the messages. Lovelara tells you whether this is a red flag, a yellow flag, or something your nervous system is inflating.

Step 1

Describe the behaviour

Specifics beat summaries. What he did, what he said, how often, and what happened when you raised it.

Step 2

Get a severity read

Each concern is sorted into green, yellow, or red, with the reasoning attached so you can weigh it yourself.

Step 3

Know what to do next

Whether that's a conversation script, a boundary worth holding, or the honest case for leaving.

Why this is so hard to judge from inside

Patterns escalate slowly. Each individual incident is small enough to explain away, and by the time the picture is clear you've already normalised the first ten steps. That's not naivety — it's how gradual change works on anyone.

An outside read helps because it sees the pattern without the history of good days attached to it.

Patterns worth taking seriously

Contempt — eye-rolls, mockery, name-calling — is the single strongest predictor of a relationship ending badly. Control over money, time, phone, or who you see. Isolation from the people who'd notice. Blame that always relocates to you. Apologies that are really negotiations. And the tell that covers most of them: you've started managing his mood to keep the peace.

Not every hard relationship is an unsafe one, and the checker will say so. What it won't do is talk you out of something you're seeing clearly.

If you're not sure you want an answer

Most people arrive here already knowing and wanting either confirmation or permission. Getting it named out loud, with reasons, is usually what makes the next step possible.

If what you actually need is a way to say something difficult to him, the scripts library has the words.
